Mr. McBride was born September 22, 1932 in Olanta, the son of Charles J. and Mary (Kanouff) McBride.
He had worked for McGregors, Stokers and Lady Jane Mines in Penfield and Novey Recycling.
Mr. McBride was an avid hunter, especially hunting coons with his dogs, trapper and fisherman.
Charles is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Turner) McBride whom he married November 22, 1952, two sons; Leo McBride and his wife Barb of Hyde and Rodney McBride of Shawville, seven grandchildren; Michael McBride (Charissa), Mandy Johnston (Ryan), Josh McBride (Kristin), Lynn McBride (Ashley), Adam McBride (Michele), Kristin McBride and Steven O’Connor, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and a brother, Norman “Butch” McBride and his wife Mary of Kerr Addition.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael McBride.
Funeral Services will be held on at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield with Rev. John White officiating. Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the hour of services.
