Born on March 8, 1943, he was the son of Fay C. and Lena Mae (Smith) Lumadue, Sr.
Allen had many talents and worked in construction, farming and assistant to a veterinarian, carnival worker with fairs, butcher, laborer, factory worker, highway worker, and as a painter.
When he was not working, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching his NY Mets baseball, renouncing his loyalty to the Washington Redskins becoming a NY Buffalo Bills fan because of their name change and following Josh ALLEN as the new quarterback, collecting coins, and he loved spending time with his family.
Allen was a member of the Columbia Fire Company, Osceola Mills for approximately 55 years. He was often found selling chances for the fire company, assisting in their fish fry or other fundraising events.
He was a member of the Spring Valley United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed being a Salvation Army bell ringer during the holidays, harassing you to give to his kettle to support the area.
He was not afraid to approach you, always trying to get a rise out of you to smile.
He is survived by two children, son, Clarence R. Lumadue of Clyde, NY, daughter, Beth A. (Lumadue) Castle (Thomas) of Sodus, NY: four grandchildren – Skylar Lumadue of Clyde, NY, Spencer, Abigail and Lilyanne of Portsmouth, VA, and numerous cousins, nieces, grand, great-nieces and grand, great-nephews.
Allen was the last of his generation. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Fay H. Lumadue, Jr., and his daughter-in-law, Marisa N. Lumadue.
In honoring Allen’s wishes, he will have a graveside burial and no reception. If you would like to witness his decent into the earth, please meet us at the Spring Valley Cemetery, 236 Spring Valley Rd., West Decatur, PA 16878, on Saturday, November 25, to begin promptly at 1 pm.
Special thank you to Decatur Village staff (Philipsburg) for the fellowship and Ridgeview rehabilitation and home (Curwensville) for their special care and constant updates as we (his children) live in other states. Our cousins Jake Williams, Lori Lippert, Linda Swatsworth and Kimberly Carter for everything they have done for us and our father. You all have been there for us, and we love you.
Memorial contributions may be made in Allen’s name to the Columbia Volunteer Fire Company, 140 Curtin St., Osceola Mills, PA 16666.
