Abigail Rose (Hertlein) Green

Abigail Rose (Hertlein) Green, 20, of Karthaus, PA went to her Lord, safely in the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 as the result of a car accident. She was the wife of Ryan E. Green of Woodland, whom she married on August 11, 2012.

She was born on March 14, 1992, in State College, she was the daughter of Glenn R. and Deborah (Kirkwood) Hertlein, of Karthaus, PA.

Abigail was a Graduate of the Clearfield Alliance Christian School in the class of 2010 and a student in her second year at Lock Haven University School of Nursing, Clearfield.

She was a member of the Community Alliance Church, Karthaus where she volunteered with the children and programs of the church. Abby loved spending time with her husband Ryan. She enjoyed music, playing piano and children.

Abigail was survived by her husband, her parents, sister: Rachel A. Hertlein; maternal grandmother; Louise Gardner, of Bells Landing; father-in-law: Ron Green, of Woodland, mother-in-law, Martha (Irwin) Green, of Woodland; aunts and uncles: Frank Hertlein, of Karthaus, Scott and Sherry Gardner, of Grampian, PA, Tim and Chris Hertlein, of Drifting, PA, Lee and Beverly Hertlein, of Frenchville, PA, Don and Louise Kirkwood, of Karthaus, PA, Eva Jane Hertlein, of Frenchville, PA, Edith Hertlein, of Frenchville, PA, Patsy Kimble, of Frenchville, PA, the Community Alliance Church Family, her best friends: Hillary Yarger and Lindsey Lefort, numerous cousins and other close friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Frank and Ivy Hertlein and Frances “Bud” Gardner.

Funeral services will be held at Community Alliance Church, 34136 Frenchville-Karthaus Highway, Karthaus, PA 16945 on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Dr. Duane A. White and Pastor Dan Beeman co- officiating. Interment will be held in the Oak Hill Memorial Cemetery, Karthaus.

Friends will be received at Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield on Monday, August 27, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 9:00 PM and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM.

Family suggest contributions be made to the Children Ministries of the Community Alliance Church, 34136 Frenchville-Karthaus Highway, Karthaus, PA 16945.
