Madeline was born on January 29, 1924 in Cle Elum to Giovanni (John) and Luisa Togliatti. She grew up in Cle Elum and graduated from Cle Elum High School in 1942. After graduation she worked for three years at the Cle Elum Bakery, three years at the Western Auto store, and five years at the Cle Elum State Bank. On June 6, 1953, she married Conrad Bianchetto and started a family after which she devoted herself to being a loving wife, mother and homemaker.
Madeline, and Conrad, were associated with the Sunset Café for the majority of their adult lives and were part owners in the business from 1975 until Conrad’s retirement in 1994.
Madeline was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Conrad in 1994.
She is survived by her son Bob, his wife Cathy and their two children Tyler, 15 and Alicia, 13 all of Seattle.
Throughout her life Madeline loved living and traveling throughout the Upper Kittitas County area, visiting with friends and relatives. She was a longtime member of the Cle Elum Sons of Italy lodge and enjoyed working on and attending their frequent gatherings, especially their spaghetti and bagna calda feeds. She was also a long time member of the Cle Elum Fraternal Order of Eagles lodge.
Madeline lived in Cle Elum until 2004 at which time she moved to the greater Seattle area to be closer to her son and his family. In her later years, she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow.
She will always be remembered for her warm smile, her sharp memory and her kind and gracious way. The family would like to thank all of her care givers for the love and kindness that they have expressed to her over these past few years.

A time of viewing will be offered 9AM-10AM on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Cascade Funeral Home in Cle Elum. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 AM on Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cle Elum followed by a short grave side service at the Laurel Hill Memorial Cemetery. A memorial reception will take place immediately afterwards at the Sunset Café for all friends and family members. Cascade Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
