Grew up listening to your radio shows in Kuwait. Rest In Peace and my sincere condolences the the family.

I know its 2023,  3 years have passed but far away from Kuwait from 2013, I just wanted to relive my memory by hearing her beautiful voice and found this dreadful news. She was the reason my school mornings were blissful  and Scorchy afternoons were fun. Hearing her voice was part of our everyday routine.
Hope she is in a better place now. You will always be missed Linda!!. Thank you for being a part of my childhood and making it soulful.

I think Linda's legacy was that she always cared for everyone around her. I know she was very good to our family. Yes it is 2022 and it is a random day. But her caring voice and loving nature is what has made us make a beeline to this page.
My mum always kept in touch with Linda over the years. When mum told me of Linda's death in 2019, a flash through all the good times with her goes through our heads. I hope both Miriam and Rheem are well wherever they are knowing that they are looked at fondly by Linda who has surely been taken into heaven. I don't have any pictures, but just memories from a time and decade in the 90s we all surely reminisce. Those years were made all the better with Linda waking us up in the morning for her breakfast show.

I missed our Linda so much, ever since she stopped being in the radio I kept asking my self where is Linda every single day!!? Her voice and the standard of her professinalism is very unique, we felt the mother voice when she reminds us of wearing seat belts, or driving carefully or taking care of our kids😪 her comments and her jokes when putting a song or announcing news..I searched to know why she is not on 99.7 anymore and couldnt know..!
Today I googled her name to know where is our Linda, and I found the sad news!
My deepest condolences going to her family and beloved ones, may her soul rest in peace ya rab. I'm sure that her kids are amazing because she was an amazing person with extra ordinary amazing vibes. I am sure that she is in a better place right now❤

Linda was the most awesome RJ I’ve ever known during my tenure in Kuwait. She was a voice I tuned into every morning during my drive from Salmiya to Ahmadi in the morning. She always aired my requests whether it was my wife’s, my son’s or my daughters birthdays. She was so fresh and did a wonderful show. Now that I’ve retired and back in my home country, India, I thank her and Radio Kuwait 99.7 for having such a wonderful breakfast show. God rest her soul..we will always love and respect you Linda

Linda Lou was a household name in my family. I used to hate going to school but hearing Linda Lou in the mornings gave me a reason to want to get in the car. 

Linda Lou did a segment at night, I don’t remember if it was something that she had done often, but I distinctly remember my siblings and I all calling in. Linda kept telling us to turn down the radio because of the feedback.  

I also met her daughter one morning and school. I confessed to her that I was a huge fan of her mothers and she offered to introduce me. 

Thank you Linda Lou for being a part of some of my fondest memories and for being my motivation in the mornings. You will forever be missed. 

Linda has been a huge part of my childhood life, everyday I wake up to go to school every morning, I instantly put on 99.7 just to listen to her. Just her saying "Good morning everyone, I hope you are all doing well" and "Hope you have a great time at work or in school today" just puts me at ease. She had a huge impact on me on becoming more confidant in myself, thanks to her positivity. 99.7 has never been the same without Linda.

99.7 Radio Kuwait was an integral part of my every morning on the way to school. But, because of DJ Linda, it became a part of my childhood. Now that I am done with university and have been living in another country for a few years, I suddenly wanted to get that feeling of nostalgia, hearing her laugh every morning, so I searched for a stream. So eager to hear her again, I went on to research about her schedules or if there are any changes, only to find this out.. Rest in Peace, DJ Linda. You made our days better, you made your mark, and you will always be remembered by your audiences and listeners. Thank you, DJ Linda Lou.

My sweet Bunny. When I came into your family, you were this beautiful, outgoing teenager. You made me feel wanted in that family even when I tried to hold it over you that I was "older".. by a few years. You gave to everyone, with your huge heart, took care of your Grandparents at a young age. Then you left and took a piece of my heart. You built a life that was bigger than your heart. I love to read these stories and how much you meant to so many. Texas was always in your heart but Kuwait had your in theirs. I know you loved it there as your eyes sparkled when you spoke of your life there.


Rest in peace Linda, I don't remember much from my childhood but I do remember her voice, the warmth and happy energy she had. she made my worst days better and my good days great.
  One morning on a school day, I was in the 7th grade,  my dad lost his temper and let it all out on me and it made me feel worthless. We went into the car and he drove us to school, the radio was on 99.7 (dad knew I liked it) and I heard Linda's voice, the way she talked made me feel better and I wanted to be a person who makes people feel that way.

 Thank you for the kind and loving impact you had through the radio, you gave me an insight that I'll never forget. you will always be my favorite. 

I came to Kuwait after years in major market U.S. radio, and in collaboration with Information Minister Sheikh Saud Nasir al-Sabah, in 1994 I created Superstation FM 99.7, Radio Kuwait. The station went on the air as the first computer-controlled broadcast studio operation in the world.  I chose Linda (Linda Lou) for mornings because of her warm engagement and gift of gab - and that choice was validated both by her years in that slot as well as the very welcome reception she received. It's sad both that Linda is gone, as is Superstation 99.7.  A wonderful era it was...


Been listening to the morning show since forever and I quit listening to the radio once you went back to the states. Your voice will always be in my mind whenever I tune into 99.7 RKFM. Rest In Peace.

Having heard her voice every morning on 99.7 RKFM, I wondered what happened to hear when she disappeared all of a sudden. She was always on my mind and I longed to hear about her. Even google'd her but there was no update. It's really sad to hear she has gone to a better place. She will always be missed. RIP!

It is very sad news that Linda has passed away. She never knew that she had so many followers and I am one among them. I used to religiously listen and very much like her daily morning program on RKFM. I could never feel the long travel of an hour daily from my home to work place. She was indeed a personality who will be missed.

Her voice used to fill, interiors   of  most vehicles,  driving to Office in Kuwait...Constantly keeping our mind entertained and not be affected by occasional madness outside.... A voice, reminding us to be Happy Always, encouraging us to Smile Often and be above situations....An yellow, or even a red signal will turn green, eventually...she used to speak on Songs , Singers,Books, writers, Hollywood, Bollywood like a pro.... She even touches on world happenings,  upto right dosage only, to keep us  informed  without being affected by turmoils... Her voice touched all hearts as she used to speak from heart.......May Lord bless lasting peace to departed Soul.

When I first moved to Kuwait I was extremely homesick. Eventually I heard about her morning show & would listen to her daily.  Her mannerism, wit & charm made me feel at home & comforted me until I got used to Kuwait.  We were all saddened when she left Kuwait. Linda Lou was loved by all & will be greatly missed.  May her soul RIP.

She was the benchmark for any RJ that ever worker for 99.7 or any other radio.

I would switch on the radio just to hear her say "Goooood Morning Kuwait". She had a charm and wits about her that attracted all ages.

I always hated waking up early to go to school but hearing her warm sweet voice made me wanna wake up everyday without any hesitation. I loved listening to her.
I can't seem to forget what she said once in an afternoon program called "fun facts" which was - Did you know that human thighs were stronger than concrete".

Linda’s voice, charm, and charisma were the highlight of so many school bus rides when my family moved to Kuwait in 2006. I never even knew what she looked like until today, but  she made my days brighter for years. We have missed her ever since she went off the air and are deeply saddened to hear of her passing.

You used to enrich our trips to school under the insane traffic and the unforgiving heat with absolute beautiful memories.  I would've not known of 99.7 had it not been you.

I Grew up in Kuwait in  80s.Used to keep track of what was topping the charts on BBC , watch on chart attack on Kuwait TV2 and then listen to Linda on Kuwait FM without failing. New Years were welcomed always with the count down music and spend listening to Linda . Even in my early working days in 2000s the morning drive to work was with Linda's radio FM Kuwait. Always one to take calls from listeners with wit, charms and in a sweet manner. Will miss that voice along with millions of others whose life she has touched. Condolences to the family. I was in Kuwait till 2011,  during my stay I used listen to her voice in bathroom whilst bathing, then she used update the time every now and then, which used to help me to get going in time to office and also she used update on weather and traffic situations as well.  Well we all miss her, let her rest in peace, god bless her soul.

Some of the fondest memories I have of my bus journeys to school every morning involved listening to Linda on RKFM 99.7.  She always made the rides to school very enjoyable, be it the music that she played via dedications or the discussions that she had, the radio was always cranked up on high volume on the way to school more than it was in the afternoons!  So, thank you Linda for giving us the best music and being the best morning radio show host. You will definitely be missed by everyone!

Like. so many of us, the Breakfast Show hosted by Linda was something I always listened to on my way to work when I lived on Kuwait. Her take on local news coupled with her opinions and rants on international celebrities in between her sets was entertaining to say the least. There was also something in her voice that was very ....calming and reassuring. May she rest in peace...

Even though we only met once while living in Kuwait, Linda Lou seemed to be a part of my family. My children and I listened to her radio show every morning for years as we drove to school and work. She always filled that void I had being so far away from my family.  Linda Lou will be greatly missed. May God comfort her family, friends and loved ones during this difficult time.

Dearest Linda Lou, you were my first friend on FM Radio, when I first landed in Q8 in 1991. I always admired your morning shows with lots of knowledge on every topic n was always a pleasure listening to you even thou the morning was bit grumpy sometimes.My wish to meet the lovely sweet charming voice someday was possible in 2004 when I met u at Camp Arifjan  n you were friend  cum colleague at Doha of our manager. Well I couldn’t believe that lovely DJ Linda Lou in front of me,when my manager introduce you, at first I didn’t believe it’s you, well then you told me to hid  n when you spoke the same voice n verse in FM Radio then I believed it’s same beautiful, kind n warm hearted person I met n I was thrilled in meeting you. Many times you could dedicated my special request on the radio n  it was always pleasant to listen to the request. You had the special instinct or magic where people were glued to hear your charming voice n meaningful positive message. 
Thankyou Linda Lou you will always be remembered n have learnt lots with your morning talks, you were gem of person with nightingale voice n will miss you.

I met Linda while working at AAG many years ago and always enjoyed her show.  She was a lovely women.  May she Rest In Peace.  My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.

Linda was part of my teenage years, I called in almost every morning to make a request or to just say hi! She would expect my call on country days.  I won a contest on her show once and still have the Backstreet Boys necklace that she gave me as my prize!   She was a wonderful and inspiring woman. May she rest in peace.

I am so sadden to hear this news! Linda and I worked together on the radio when 99.7 first came on the air in Kuwait. For some time, we hosted the Breakfast-show together and we had a great time talking and playing people’s favorite music. Linda Lue was the  voice of Kuwait’s morning radio which thousands tuned into to get them through the morning commute to work and to school. You can always depend on Linda every morning.   I can still hear her voice telling everyone to make sure to wear their seatbelts at the end of every show.
