Ed was born on Whiteman AFB, Missouri on November 7, 1964 and moved to Fort Walton Beach, Florida during his toddler years, then moved to Long Island, New York. He lived there until about age 48. He and Lisa Brewster married on November 1, 1987. He returned to college to receive his Associate's Degree in Computer Science (Suffolk Community College), Batchelor's Degreein Computer Science (SUNY Old Westbury) and Master's Degree (MBA) from Dowling College.
Ed was known as an intelligent and creative software engineer. Lisa and Ed adopted their son, David, from Russia in 2008. Ed loved and cared for David with complete devotion. Ed was diagnosed with a rare neuroendocrine cancer in January of 2013. He intensely pursued treatment options and shared this information and his faith with other patients via social media. The family moved to Clayton, NC in 2014. Ed was always known for his creativity and faith in God and witty sense of humor. He also loved gardening, photography, anything technology related and the fine arts. He was a loving and devoted husband and father.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Kaull, son, David Kaull, parents; Edward & Diane Kaull, sister, Lisa Pruitt (Dale Pruitt), mother-in-law, Madeline Brewster, brother-in-law, Glenn Brewster, brother-in-law & sister-in-law; Robert and Joyce Brewster, niece, Megan Brewster and nephew, Timothy Brewster. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Calvin Brewster.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel, 12830 US 70 Business HWY W, Clayton, NC. The family will receive guest one hour prior to the service and burial will immediately follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Clayton, NC.
