Benjamin F. Johnson, 85, passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 16. Born in Clayton, NC, he was the son of the late Anton and Bettie Johnson. He served in the US Army for 2 years before settling in for a life of farming which he truly loved. He is survived by siblings Jerry Johnson (Brenda) of Raleigh and Becky Roberts (Laeron) of Fuquay Varina and children Tim Howard (Tara), Beth Rhew (Kevin), Tammy Harper Crews, Angie Harper Bryan, and Joni Harper Santoro (Chris), as well as 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The graveside service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 2pm at Oakland Presbyterian Church. Arrangements by McLaurin Funeral Home.
