Michael Charles Hammond

Michael Charles Hammond born 1963 in Wheatridge, Colorado, husband of Roza Zeleke, father of Austin, Nathan and Ava, son of Ralph Charles Hammond and Catherine Hill/Hammond, Grandson son of Thelma Gates Hammond and Calvin F. Hammond and Lillian Marian Hill/Miller.

Michael lived an amazing life with education in theology and missions, Michael graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois, 1990, served with missions in Africa, Bachelor of Arts degree in Aviation Technology in Tennessee, and piloting, Ralph, his father, provided help along the way, with MBI, for Michael's education. We took a trip to visit with Michael in South Africa and he gave us a stupendous tour of which we truly enjoyed.

Michael met Roza,, his beautiful wife in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Africa. They were married in an exquisite wedding with her family who dearly loved Michael. He brought her home to us and they lived with us for a while leaving beautiful footprints upon our hearts. Roza excelled living in the USA, becoming a US citizen and is a very smart, compassionate, Christian woman, dedicated wife and mother of their three beautiful children. We thank God for her. It was a rare heart disease that destroyed Mike’s heart over time. Only 101 people have been known to have this disease of which he fought a long hard battle, while wearing an LVAD pump in left side of heart for months awaiting a heart transplant, but sadly his body gave out before this could be done, passing on October 6th, 2014.

Michael had several working experiences, including a couple of small airports in Illinois and Washington State and with Air-Serve International in California finalizing his working career as a Director of Maintenance Management working with XOJET, World-Class Private Jet Solutions in California.
