was born Oct. 13, 1929 in Milton, OK to Grady and Ellen Boatman. He left us on February 19, 2011, due to complications from Alzheimer's Disease. Survived by his loving wife Madolyn, daughter Linda Carl (husband Gary S. Carl), son James Lee Boatman, 4 grandchildren: Robin Lawrence, Kerry Aye, Jason Boatman, and Kristen Boatman, and 2 great-grandchildren: Kelsey Boatman and Dakota Boatman Spanos. Also survived by brother James Earl Boatman and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers Walter and Wayne. Charles retired from Halliburton in 1983 after 32 years of service. He worked in Ventura (1952-1959), Rio Vista (1959-1968), and Kenai, AK (1968-1983). He also retired in 1996 from Macke Company in Sacramento after 10 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Kenai. Charles loved to hunt, fish, travel, play harmonica and guitar. He liked watching Western movies and listening to Country/Western music. In his younger years he also liked to water ski. He loved to talk about his time in Alaska, hunting and his travels. He enjoyed fixing things, and there weren't many things that he could not fix! Being with family and traveling in the motorhome were his favorite things to do after be retired. He was always busy, and loved to help others. Charles was loved and admired by his family, coworkers and friends. We will miss him greatly. At Charles' request there will be no services.
