Bill Walters passed away peacefully on February 9, 2013, in the Veteran’s Home in Chula Vista, CA. at 92 years of age. Born on January 12, 1921 in Los Angeles, he was associated with Westwood Presbyterian Church for many years.
Days after the attack on Pearl Harbor, he enlisted in the Navy and served in WW II until 1945. He also served in the Korean War.
His civilian career began as a court reporter. He went on to become an Attorney, taught Law and Real Estate Law, and also co-owned and managed real estate in CA, AZ and Idaho.
After retiring, he moved to San Diego. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling and gardening.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doreen Walters; his brother, Charles Walters of Parker, CO; son David Walters (Tania) of San Rafael CA; daughter Marianne Spiller (John) of Soquel, CA; grandchildren, Jennifer, Hilary, Kimberly, Thomas and Emily; great grandchildren, Henry, Owen and Brady. Also, his stepdaughter, Valerie Williams (Dan) of San Diego, stepson, Randall Williams (Carol) and family of Edmonton, AB, Canada.
Bill was loving and generous family man adored and was adored by his grandchildren- he never missed a graduation, and will long be remembered and missed by all.
