Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, American citizen of Mexican descent. His parents were born in Jalisco Mexico. Henry lived most of his years in California, growing up in Santa Barbara, Tijuana, San Jose, Imperial Beach and Chula Vista.
He was a devout Christian practicing his Catholic faith most of his life here in the area, attending Mt Carmel, Our Lady of Guadalupe and Saint Pius. His wife of 68 years was a faithful attender of Saint Pius as well. He was a generous man, giving a lot of wealth to those in need and charities he believed in. He was an avid reader of the Holy Bible, he loved to talk and was very loving. His most common statement we would hear come from him throughout the day was… “God willing”.
Six living children, Amada, Enrique, Irma, Carlos, Patricia and Loreen. He has 23 grandchildren. He has 35 great grandchildren and One great great grandchild.
He worked most of his life in construction… 30 years as a welder and 20 years as a heavy machine operator. In his “retirement”, he learned how to make cabinets and built many cabinets. He was a member of a shooting club in Tijuana and a proud supporter of Saint Jude charities. He spent countless hours with his children and their children.
A visitation for Henry will be held Monday, July 22, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Chula Vista, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Funeral Mass, 1120 Cuyamaca Ave, Chula Vista, CA 91911. A military honors will occur Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 4470 Hilltop Dr, San Diego, CA 92102.
