Charles Horner, 67, passed away on May 17, 2013 surrounded with love by his family and friends. He was born on January 5, 1946 in St. Johnsbury, VT. Charles joined the U.S. Navy as a teenager and proudly served for 22 years, retiring as a Company Commander. He then went on to become a Real Estate Broker, enjoying the success of being a small business owner. Charles embraced life and adored his family. He enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, being an avid San Diego Chargers fan, raising Boston Terriers and being a member of the Southern California Convertible Club with his beloved classic Buick Skylark. Lovingly known as Chuck, he was the jokester of the family, always doing his best to bring a smile to those around him. Chuck is survived by his devoted wife Barbara, oldest daughter Jennifer and her husband Brian, youngest daughter Ashley, and a large, close-knit family. We will forever miss his presence.
