Born March 17, 1938, in Alexander County, she was the daughter of the late William Regulus Reavis and Dorothy Mae Estep Reavis.
A graduate of Stony Point High School, she was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Kannapolis where she was the Church secretary for many years. She was a co-owner of Walker Well Drilling for 48 years and for a short time had a macrame shop at her home. She enjoyed making jewelry and scarves in her spare time until she was unable to do so. She also liked to do word search puzzles and adult coloring.
Married to the late Allen Clifford Waker for 58 years, she was also predeceased by eight siblings. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Susan Alane Walker Ervin of the home and Lydia Walker Efird of Salisbury. Also surviving is her sister Myrtle Sigmon; grandchildren Nichole Corl Efird Wood (Randy), Lester Efird, Jr., Luke Efird (Stacey), Ginger Ervin Owens (Brian), Pete Ervin (Elaine), Edna Coates (Bobby) and Angela Ervin (Tony); and great-grandchildren, James, Susan (Nathan), and great-great grandchildren Scarlett, Savannah, Breanna, Jacob, Avah and Arron. Also, several nieces and nephews and special caregiver Patsy Shoe.
Arrangements: Visitation is Saturday July 20th from 12PM to 1PM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with the funeral service at 1PM also at the funeral home with Rev LJ Mills, minister. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
Memorials: May be made to the Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House in lieu of flowers.
