Born on June 5, 1955 in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Ledbetter was the daughter of the late James W. McDonald Sr. and Mary Howard McDonald.
Educated in the Cabarrus County Schools, she was a member of Rodgers Park Baptist Church. She worked for many years at Freightliner in quality control and then from BestCo Inc. from which she retired.
In her spare time, she enjoyed doing a puppet ministry with her husband Gary. She studied American sign language. She was also an avid photographer and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Gary Ledbetter and her brother Jimmy McDonald.
Those with cherished memories include her step sons Donald Ledbetter and Daniel Ledbetter(Lori), step daughter Valerie Foerst and her half brother Nolan McDonald. step mother Brenda McDonald, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren as well as nephew Ritchie McDonald (Angie) and extended nieces and nephews. She had many friends and will be missed by many.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 10:30 am till 11:30 am at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral services to follow at 11:30 in the chapel of Linn Honeycutt with Pastors Joel Ervin and Joyce Miles, officiating. Burial will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery.
