Jerry Davis Bostian

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bostian was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Alice Johnson Bostian, sisters; Juanita Bostian White, Colene Bostian, Vivian Bostian Dickinson and grandson Kurtis Bentley.

Jerry was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force where he honorably served in several countries. After leaving the Air Force, he worked in refrigeration and the vending industry until his retirement.

Jerry loved nothing more than spending quality time with his family and friends, and lending a helping hand to others when needed. Jerry was a talented musician who played multiple instruments, although he was mainly known for his skill with the mandolin.

He enjoyed refinishing antiques and could often be found in a freshly turned field hunting for arrowheads.

When health allowed, Jerry was a faithful member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church of China Grove.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Connie Bentley (Larry), Brenda Alley (Bobby), Rebecca Erwin (Ken), Jeff Bostian (Maria); his grandchildren Amanda Carter (Corey), Andrea Hafner (Zachary), Lauren Roberts (Casey), Brett Alley (Meredith), Meredith Teeter (Michael), Steven Erwin, Lacie Erwin and Jeffrey Bostian (McKenzie); his great grandchildren Alice and Stella Carter, Maximus, Alexander, Faelyn, and Jasper Hafner, Liam and Eve Roberts, Genevieve Alley, Hunter and Hannah Teeter and Grace Erwin, in addition to numerous extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday May 17th from 2 to 3pm at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in China Grove, North Carolina with a celebration of life service to follow. Linn-Honeycutt Funeral home in China Grove is handling the arrangements.
