Hoyle Evans Clodfelter, age 79, of Kannapolis, passed away at home on Saturday, September 4, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Hoyle was born on February 5, 1942 in Rowan County and was the son of the late John Harris Clodfelter and Mary Lucille Weaver Clodfelter. He was a 1960 graduate of Landis High School and was a previous member of Rodgers Park Baptist Church.
Hoyle was a faithful truck driver for Food Lion stores for over 27 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and walking his dogs, Killer and Roscoe.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Nancy Hartsell Clodfelter, his son, Jeff Clodfelter and daughter, Fonda Carter (Roger). Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Kevin Carter (Wendy), Samantha Keels (Matt), Micah Clodfelter (Kelsie), and Weston Clodfelter, along with his great grandchildren, Easton, Harrison, Madison and Millie Jo Carter as well as Parker Keels and Timber Rae Clodfelter.
Visitation for Hoyle will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 3:00 - 4:00 pm at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Memorial Service will immediately follow at 4:00pm in the Chapel with Pastor Rick Felts, officiating. Inurnment will be on Thursday, September 16 at 11:00 am at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Clodfelter.
