Hazel Elizabeth Benson McDaniel, age 73 of China Grove, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Glen A. Kiser Hospice House. Hazel is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ronnie McDaniel, and sister Mary Ann Benson and MD McKnight. She is preceded in death by her father Claude Franklin Benson, mother Ruth Salome Smith Benson, and sister Doris Todd. She was a member of Saint Mark’s Lutheran Church in China Grove, NC. Hazel enjoyed traveling with her special friends Hubert and Hazel Elliot, and Larry and Judy Allen, picking up sea shells along the Outer Banks in NC, Camping at Lakewood Campground in SC, reading magazines, and shopping with her sisters in VA. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove, NC.
