Dora Inez Brown

Mrs Dora Inez Sutton Brown age 90 of China Grove, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 23, 1931 in Rowan County and was the daughter of the late John William Sutton and Cordia Sloop Sutton. She was a graduate of Landis High School and was a longtime member of Enochville Church of God. Dora worked for many years as a seamstress, working for Louise’s Fabric Center and Stayon Manufacturing. Her passion was growing flowers and being with her loving family for family meals.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Homer Brown, her son Bryce Brown as well as two grandchildren and three brothers and one sister. Those family members to cherish her memory include sons Mark Brown (Donna), Everett Brown, David Neil Brown (Pam) and Jody Brown (Tammy) and daughters; Jennifer Torrence ( Wayne), Joanne Edgison (James) and Sheree Brown (Robbie) and daughter in law Colleen Brown.. Also surviving is her sister Sadie Pennell and fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 5:00 pm till 6:30 pm in the Haven Room of Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home with memorial service to follow at 6:30 in the Northcrest Chapel of Linn Honeycutt with Doctor Darrell Worley, officiating.
