Clyde "Gene" Eugene Lambert

Mr. Clyde Eugene "Gene" Lambert age 84 of Landis, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

Born on December 24, 1937 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late George Clyde Lambert and Ruth Corriher Lambert.

A 1956 graduate of Landis High School, he was a longtime active member of Rodgers Park Reformed Church. Earlier in life he was a controller for various trucking lines, spending most of his time with Johnson Motor Lines and Cheetah Transportation. After his retirement he worked part time for ASC Auction Company as a bookkeeper.

Bowling was a big passion of Gene's as he participated in tournaments and in league play for many decades. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf as well as traveling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Shirley McLaughlin Lambert and his infant son.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son Timothy Lambert (Janice) and daughter Samantha Lambert (Billy McLain) as well as grandchildren Jamie Honeycutt (John) and Kalie Felts (Bryan). Also surviving is his great grandson Jaxson Felts.

Funeral services for Mr. Lambert will be held on Sunday January 23, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Rodgers Park Reformed Church in Kannapolis with Pastor Allen Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
