Calvin Moran Thomas of China Grove passed away on February 15, 2022 at Glenn Kiser Hospice. Born on December 3, 1946 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Harold and Margaret Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Larry Thomas, sister Vickie Carter and brother Tim Thomas. He was also preceded in death by his son Keith Thomas.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Kathy Thomas; two sons; Jody (Lisa) Thomas, Brett (Laura) Thomas, one daughter; Bridgett Claus and one sister; Gaylen (Vernon) Newton. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeremy Westover, Miranda Claus and Ally and Madelyn Thomas
Mr. Thomas was a truck driver for 19 years. He later worked alongside his wife, as co-owners of M & K BBQ in Granite Quarry for almost 30 years.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 pm Saturday February 19, 2022, at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, 1420 Main St., China Grove. A funeral service will begin at 2 pm with Pastor John Houghton officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
