Wayne is survived by his son Shawn Daley (Karlie Roberts); his daughter Nicole Anderson (Jeff Anderson); his granddaughters Jayda Daley and Madison Daley; his brothers Dan, Glen, Ron; his parents Ellen and Ross and numerous nieces and nephews. Wayne was predeceased by his brother Jamie.
Wayne was born on February, 22, 1958 in Powell River BC, but lived the majority of his younger years in Fort Langley and Langley BC. At 19 years old he and his brother Dan would move to Lethbridge Alberta looking for a change and it would become home for him. He would go on to get married and have a family, a great career and make the best friends of his life.
Wayne was a very good martial artist and would become a 3rd degree black belt in in Kempo Karate. Bruce Lee was his idol and he strived to live his life devoted to martial arts and health for many years. Besides martial arts, Wayne enjoyed playing guitar, hunting and fishing and excelled at all of them. Wayne was good at anything he attempted.
For the majority of his life he worked as a flooring installer and made a very good career out of it. If he wasn’t spending time with his son and best friend Shawn, he loved spending time with his good friends Kim, Mark, Donnie, Monte, and many more. They would jam with him every weekend for many years in Donnie’s basement and were very good at it, they would become known as the “barley boys” to anyone who knew them… these were some of the most fun times of his life and he cherished his friends a lot and would do anything for them.
Wayne loved his children Shawn and Nicole and they were the thing he was most proud of and his greatest accomplishment in life. In the more recent years they have not seen each other as much as they should have as Wayne had moved back to the coast, but they spoke often and the love was always there.
Wayne had an extremely likeable personality and was always in a good mood and smiling. He will leave a very big void and is a huge loss for anyone who knew him. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
There will be no funeral service, but there will be a celebration of his life planned at a later date.
We would like anyone who knew Wayne to remember the amazing, happy, funny and caring guy he was.
We love you so much Dad!!! You will live in our hearts forever.
