Robert Jr (Bob) Richard Aebig

Robert Jr (Bob) Richard Aebig of Chilliwack, BC passed away on June 25th 2024 at the age of 71. Bob was born March 21st, 1953 in Burnaby BC where he grew up with his parents Robert Sr & Hazel along with his siblings Judy and Jim.

Bob married Debbie in 1977 they moved to Port Coquitlam to start a family and together had 3 children. They raised their kids in Maple Ridge and lived there for many years. Later in life and after retirement, Bob moved to Chilliwack BC to enjoy the outdoors and had a beautiful yard for his big garden and beloved dog Kayla.

Bob graduated from Burnaby North High school in 1971, he went on to be a dedicated, hard working Iron Worker with Local 97 for over 50 years. He is a life time member of the union and worked up until he was 68yrs old.

Bob loved to golf, he was a member of the Seniors Golf Club where he golfed weekly. He also loved gardening, going fishing, travelling and watching sports. He cherished spending time with his family and friends and was known for his kindness, generosity and sense of humour.

Bob is preceded by his parents Robert Sr. Aebig and mom Hazel (Dupre) Aebig. Along with his late wife Shelley Mccann and his brother James (Jim) Aebig.

He is survived by his children Bradley Aebig, Amanda Judd (Matt), Jenny Aebig (Adam) and 5 grandchildren Kadin, Ronin, Everly, Kingstin and Adam Jr. (AJ)

Bob will be dearly missed by everyone but always remembered with so much love and great fondness.
