Paul Rayburn Penn

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Paul Rayburn Penn who passed away peacefully at the age of 85, on October 24, 2017, in Agassiz, BC. Paul was born on May 15, 1932 in Hazelton, BC He had 2 sisters Helen and Shirley and 2 brothers Gerald and Lester. Paul enjoyed the outdoors and was a jack of all trades. He worked logging 25 years for his company Borden and Penn. He was also a mechanic, heavy equipment operator and freight hauler. He built two homes for his family, one in Laidlaw and one in Terrace. Paul had a deep passion for steam trains and loved to travel (by car) on short day trips.

Paul will be dearly missed by his loving wife Helen, daughters Yvonne, Jo-Ann, Jennifer and Sandra, sons Donald, Bruce, Doug, and Robert and by their spouses Paula, Shirley, Barry and Andrew, stepdaughters Cindy and Carol and stepsons Richard and Randy and their spouses, by daughter-in-law Brenda and by his many friends. Paul had 19 grandchildren - Alanna, Christina, Samara, Nathan, Dean, Alyce, Katie, Ria, Jason, Ben, Keenan, Timothea, Crystal, Danielle, Melissa, Nicole, Guy, Clayton, Coleen and more than 30 great grandchildren. Paul was predeceased by his wife Marie in 2000, son Everett in 2010 and grandsons Jordan in 2008 and Christopher in 2011.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Spring 2018 and will be announced in the newspaper.
