Marvin passed away in the Chilliwack hospital at the age of 91, with his wife Adele at his side. He was one of 5 children born to Abram and Katherine Schroeder (nee Sawatzky). Marv met the love of his life on a blind date on Dec. 31 1957. After dancing the old year out and the New Year in, their lives were changed forever. They married in Maymont Sask. in 1960 and sons Greg and Jeff were born in 1964 and 1966 respectively.
The busy young family settled in Chilliwack in 1968 with no regrets leaving the prairie. As busy as his work kept him, Marv always, always put his family first. He was our anchor. He greatly enjoyed many years of curling, golfing and RV-ing from coast to coast & to the Arctic Circle. Cruises and trips to Hawaii, Europe & the southern states made for a wonderful retirement.
