December 5, 1914 - July 25, 2016
Born in Chilliwack to parents Fred and Pearl (Simpson) Toop, granddaughter of Chilliwack pioneers Sampson and Emma Toop, died peacefully at Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission.
Evelyn was married to Roy Edwards on June 23, 1936 and together they raised five children.
Evelyn will be missed by sister Edna and brother Edgar, sons Robert, Ronald (Carolyn), Harley (Dawn) and daughters Myrna and Sharie (Arnie). Grandchildren Lorelei, Melanie (John), Stephen (Tracey), Tamara (Greg), Marlo (Steve), Jaida (Darrell), Niki (Darcy), Loni (Robin) and Erin (Randy), 15 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and their families, plus many friends. The Vancouver Canucks and Toronto Blue Jays have lost an avid fan.
Pre deceased by husband Roy, brother Earl, sister Ethel and granddaughter Denise.
Evelyn lived in Chilliwack until 2007, when she moved to Hallmark on the Lake in Abbotsford.
She was second to none as a Mom and touched many lives in a positive way in
her 101 years. She will be sorely missed by all of her family and all of her
friends new and old.
Memorial service will be held October 8, 2016 at 2pm
