Dad was born on January 24, 1936 in Zeist, the Netherlands. After immigrating to Canada with his parents and siblings in 1953, he married his dear wife, Jennie Bestebreur on August 14, 1963 and was blessed to be able to celebrate his 60th anniversary with her.
He was a loving Dad to Terry & Hilda van Oort (Rosedale, BC) and Marlene & Tom VanderBand (Kalamazoo, MI).
Grandpa will be missed by his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Josh & Ashley (Levi, Sarah), Nathan, Mark & Tori (Evelyn, Dawson), Thomas & Erin (Oliver), Leah & Christian (Gwynevere, Hadassah), Seth, Rachel, Caleb and Hannah.
Len is survived by his siblings and in-laws, Dickie Neels, Chris van Oort, Hilly Den Boer, Julie d'Haene, Peter & Nellie van Oort, Christine Traas, Nellie & Wim Kerkhoff, Tony & Catharine van Oort, Jane Bestebreur, Ethel Bestebreur, Lena Van Hoepen, Coba & Bill Goudzwaard, Maria & Henry Schut, as well as his many nieces and nephews.
An opportunity for you to express your condolences will be given on Wednesday, November 22 from 7 to 8pm at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home (45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack, BC).
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 23 at 10:00am at the Chilliwack Heritage Reformed Church (46336 First Ave, Chilliwack, BC), Pastor John Procee officiating. Interment to follow at Chilliwack Cemeteries.
