Dave is survived by his wife of 49 years, Alice Ferris and son Scott Ferris. His parents Ronald and Shirley Ferris and his younger brother John Ferris predeceased him.
Dave, who was born in Saint John, New Brunswick on November 10th 1941, was a retired Warrant Officer from the Canadian Armed Forces where he served his country for 35 years. In the many communities he lived in over the years he always enjoyed working and volunteering both his support and leadership to Scouts Canada. Dave also enjoyed music and especially singing his entire life. For many years in
his retirement he participated with the choir, "The Heritage Singers" in Chilliwack, BC.
A celebration of Dave’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation or The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
