OBITUARY

Christopher Alan Fitzpatrick

23 November, 1984 – 8 April, 2020
IN THE CARE OF

Henderson's Funeral Homes & Crematorium

November 23rd, 1984 - April 8th, 2020

Christopher Alan Fitzpatrick

Our loving son, brother and uncle passed away in his home with his parents and siblings at his side.

His young life was ended abruptly, following a rigorous battle with an aggressive cancer. He fought bravely and tirelessly to the very end. Throughout it all, he demonstrated a gentleness of spirit, kindness of heart, and a strength to which few people could lay claim. He leaves behind his parents, David and Doreen, brother Philip (wife Monica), sisters Nicole (husband Jonathan) and Lauren (husband Thomas), and nieces Isla, Rowan and Alexia.

Christopher was born in Brandon, Manitoba, in the fall of 1984. At the age of fourteen years, he moved with his family to Chilliwack, British Columbia, and completed his high school in Abbotsford. He obtained his B.Sc. at the University of Victoria, where his own life began to take shape. He completed a graduate program at BCIT in aviation, the industry in which he chose to pursue a career. Christopher secured his pilot’s licence, but moved into ground operations at YVR, a company with which he was so proud to be associated. There, he made many strong personal and professional relationships.

Christopher leaves behind a close and extended family, and many friends, who loved him through and through. We cherish him for his many attributes and qualities, not the least of which were his willingness to listen and offer help, his wonderful temperament, and his great sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew him well.

His family would like to thank all of the physicians and nurses at the BC Cancer Agency who supported him over the last four months of his life.

Christopher’s funeral mass and burial were on April 14th, 2020, restricted in it’s nature due to COVID-19.

“There is an unbroken thread, woven from love,

That keeps family always together.

For nothing’s as real as the moment’s we’ve shared;

They live on in our memories forever.”

RIP Our darling Christopher
