Anna was an amazing person who was loved by so many and will always be fondly remembered. Anna was someone that you could count on to be there for you, she was a rock of support and helped so many people throughout her life. She loved to talk to people and laugh with them and she always made time for children. Anna inspired young ones and older ones with her life stories and her selfless actions. She taught all of us self-reliance, hard work ethic, perseverance, loyalty and the importance of family. Anna was a best friend to her daughters and a kind and loving grandma and Oma. Even though her early years were marred by the trauma and struggle of the second world war she was resilient and brave and was able to overcome many hardships. After she immigrated to Canada, she stayed strong and worked hard to make a new life for her family. Later, Anna met the love of her life Arthur Casey, and they had forty-two wonderful years of love and adventure together. In her later years after she lost her love, she remained positive, independent, and brave up to the end of her life. Anna is with her true love Arthur forever now, and those of us who are left behind will cherish our memories of her always.
Memorial donations may be made in Anna Casey's name to The Red Cross.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
