John Wayne Ragland

Funeral service for John Wayne Ragland, age 71, will be Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 11AM at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel with the Reverend Ricky Sherer officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 5-8PM at the funeral home

Mr. Ragland was the principal at Childersburg Middle School for many years before retiring as the Special Education Coordinator for the Talladega County School System. He volunteered with various groups and was a veteran of the US Army and served as a Sergeant with the Army Honor Guard.

He is survived by his daughter: Christina Ragland Davis, sons: Cory Ragland (Mandi), Gavin Ragland, step-children: Elizabeth Diggs (Charlie), Meg Rogers (Bradley), Katie Grace, and Robert Grace, grandchildren: Caedmon, Kathryn, Phoebe and Etta Ragland, sister: Marie Williams and ex-wives: Diane Deason Ragland and Jo Anna Grace.

Pallbearers will be Donald Duck, Dan Payant, Marvin Rochelle, Charlie Diggs, Robert Grace and Bradley Rogers.

Family will accept flowers or donations can be made to the ARC.
