Rosetta Jeanene Galan

Jeanene Galan, aged 76, passed away peacefully at Advocate Christ Medical Center on Thursday, May 30th, 2024 after a brief battle with breast cancer. Born in Pekin, IL to Clifford and Ruth Diegel, Jeanene led a remarkable life filled with love, laughter and a lot of smart-ass remarks.

Jeanene was predeceased by her loving husband of 23 years, George and her mother and father. She is survived by daughters Tammy, Tracy (Michael) and Kristin (Javier); granddaughters Gabriella, Kassidy, Lilith, Viola and Finley; grandson Nathan; sister Janice (Tom) and nephew Todd (Sara).

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance.

To our beautiful mother in heaven, thank you for always loving and guiding us. Even though you are no longer here, we can still feel your love guiding us. You are always in our hearts. We love and miss you dearly.

We’d like to invite everyone who attends her visitation or funeral to wear blue as it was my mom’s favorite color

A visitation for Rosetta will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Andrew J McGann & Sons Funeral Home, 10727 S Pulaski Rd, Chicago, IL 60655. Prayers, Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, at the funeral home to a graveside service starting at 11:15 AM at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery, 4401 W 111th St, Chicago, IL 60655.
