Dear son of the late William and Ruth Davidson and brother of twins who died tragically before his birth.
Cherished and loving husband to Helen, nee Milkovits; Devoted father to Darlene (Ed), Janet, and John (Mary Jane); Gentle grandpa to Kevin, Billy and Olivia. Also survived by his twin sister Judy (Ray), younger brother Bob (the late Karen) and many nieces and nephews.
Richard graduated from Chicago Vocational High School in 1956. He served six years in the United States Coast Guard from 1956-1962, for which he was very proud.
He worked at Commonwealth Edison for over 30 years, where he was a highly valued colleague, until his retirement in May 1994. Richard faithfully served in various ministries at church including: Usher, Education Superintendent, Building Maintenance Manager, Sunday School Teacher, Deacon and Elder – all which he greatly enjoyed.
