It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Napoleon "Nap" Zamora, age 52, on May 23rd, 2024. Born in the Phillipines on March 21st, 1972, Nap arrived in the United States in 1973, and brought joy and inspiration to all who knew him. His presence filled every room with warmth and enthusiasm, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met.
Napoleon "Nap" Zamora was preceded in death by his loving mother Erlinda Zamora, his dedicated father Fernando Zamora, and beloved wife Viviana de la Torre. Despite these profound losses, Nap lived his life surrounded by the love of his family. He is survived by his devoted children, Jared and Kayla Zamora, whose accomplishments and happiness were his greatest pride. His former spouse, Ramona Zamora, the mother of Jared and Kayla, remained a cherished part of his life. Nap is also survived by his siblings Maria Cristina (Sergio) Zamora, Alex (Maria Leonora) Zamora, and Chris Anthony (Alison) Zamora, all of whom shared a deep bond of love and respect with him. His nieces and nephews—Symone and Jakob (Maria Cristina); Lauren, Allyson, Aaron, and Aidan (Alex and Maria); and Miles and Amelia (Chris Anthony and Alison)—will forever remember their dear uncle who was like a second father to them.
A man of many talents and passions, Nap was known for his enthusiasm for softball, basketball, and billiards. He approached every game with the same vigor and joy that he brought to all aspects of his life. His intelligence and competitive spirit shone brightly throughout his career in the IT field, where he built an impressive legacy after earning his Bachelor's degree from DeVry University and his Master's degree in Computer Science from Keller Graduate School of Management. Nap's sharp mind and lively personality captivated audiences when he made an unforgettable appearance on the popular game show "Wheel of Fortune," securing a memorable win that has delighted family and friends for years.
To honor Nap's remarkable life, a memorial service will be held on June 14, 2024, at Montclair-Luciana Funeral Home, located at 6901 West Belmont, Chicago, Illinois, 60634, from 4 PM to 8 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the life of a man whose legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Napoleon "Nap" Zamora will be remembered for his generous spirit, strong character, and unwavering loyalty towards his family and friends. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will be cherished forever, and he will be greatly missed.
