Kaye was a lover of food, movies, and crossword puzzles. Time with family and close friends were priority activities along with experiencing other cultures. Music was a pastime and a form of personal relaxation. Singing and playing the piano with her musically gifted mother and her sisters was an important part of family life. Her career in human resources always focused on moving forward to a better future.
Kaye is survived by her husband Sid Miller, her children Rob (Kyle King) Miller and Brittany Miller, her grandchildren Chelsea (Cameron), Sarah (Jacob), Asher (Georgia), Hannah (Tosh), and Tyler, her loving great-grandchildren Mira, Tsela, Coda, Lev, Cassius, Gunner, Cohen, and her loving siblings Sandra Emory, Denny (Joan) Shields, Jane Shields, Mary (Dan) Halfman, and Jon (MJ) Shields. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother-in-law Maureen and Chuck Turner, and her brother-in-law Jeff Emory.
Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Kaye that will be held from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm on Wednesday, January 24th, 2024 with the funeral service to begin at 1:30 pm at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 North Western Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60625. Reception to follow.
Instead of flowers, donations can be made in her name to The Greater Chicago Food Bank, or Heifer International.
