Josef Martin, age 94, passed away peacefully in his home on April 13th, surrounded by his six children. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Josef’s life was defined by his unwavering love for his family and his unmatched work ethic.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Margret.
Josef is survived by his children: Norbert (Lisa) Martin, Ellen Brooks, Angelica Martin, Heidi (Roger) Dickerson, Rosemarie (Robert) Kriho, and Renee Anderson. He was the proud Opa of 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, each of whom brought joy and pride to his long and meaningful life.
A private entombment will take place at Rosehill Cemetery on April 18th.
Family and friends are warmly invited to celebrate Josef’s life on May 3rd, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at The Fireside Restaurant, located at 5739 N. Ravenswood, Chicago.
