John Bertone age 93 of Chicago passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2023 with his daughters by his side. He was the loving husband of the late Jean (nee Pruitt); loving father of George Bertone, Linda (Steven) Schmidt, and Angela (Alan) Nebola; dear son of the late Luciano and Angeline Bertone. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Louis (Nancy), Ross (Helen), Anthony, Rose, Mary (Fred) Laha, and Victoria Bertone. John was lovingly taken care of by his caretaker, Jamy Krus, for the past four years.
A private visitation and service will be held for family and friends who had been loving and kind to John in recent years.
