Gerald Fredrick Sears

Sears, Gerald Fredrick passed away peacefully on June 24th 2023, at the age of 83. Born January 8, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois. Son of the late Louis and Kathleen (Nee McFee) Sears. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Sears. Their 4 children Gerald (Michelle) Sears, Kevin (Nicole) Sears, Delores (James) Fairbanks, daughter-in-law Victoria Sears, Sister Lois. Grandchildren Jacob (Cassandra), Eric, Amy, Timothy, James Sears. Kevin, Karolyn, Kimberly (Martin), Kathleen, Konner Sears, Jonathon, Sarah, Matthew, Katelyn Rooney. & 5 great grandchildren. Gerald was proceed in death by his son Stephen Sears, brothers John, Howard, Donald, Kenneth, and sister Delores. He worked for ComEd for 36 years and was a member of St. Symphorosa parish for 53 years. He had many hobbies and loves but the main thing he cherished was his wife and family. Fond memories were made with him singing High Hopes and My Way by Frank Sinatra. He will be lovingly remembered by many family & friends.

Visitation for Gerald will be on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ridge Funeral Home, (Edward A. Tylka, Manager), 6620 W. Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638. Prayers Service will be on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 9:15 AM, at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 W. Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM at St. Symphorosa Catholic Church, 6135 S. Austin Ave., Chicago, IL 60638.
