Edwin Colon

Edwin served in the US Army and was a proud Veteran. Edwin received many awards during his military career, including Marksman, M-16 Rifle, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon. After his Military service ended, Edwin received his Associate's Degree in Accounting.

Edwin loved his family dearly. He especially enjoyed spending the holidays with his family. He was kind, had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed making people feel comfortable. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend.

Edwin is survived by his loving mother, Delia Fernandez; brother Johnny Colon; sisters, Betsy Colon and Sonia Fernandez. He is also survived by nieces and nephews he loved dearly, Jonathan Colon, Jason Colon, George Michael Colon, Jessie Ray Colon, Sonia Lasso, Mauricio Lasso, Amelia Mundo, and Gabriel Mundo; his loving great nieces and nephews Ava, Ethan, Valentina, Moises, David, Ariella, Alessia, and Sofia, and many other loving extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, 25 January, from 9 am – 12 pm, with a funeral service beginning at noon at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 North Western Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago, IL.
