Eduardo Zavala

Eduardo "Lalo" Zavala passed away peacefully on October 20, 2022, at the age of 77 years, surrounded by family. Born on October 12, 1945 in Guanajuato, Mexico, survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sara Rodriguez Zavala. He worked for Illinois Central Railroad for over 19 years, and had a great passion for woodwork and carpentry. Always enjoyed watching a good soccer match, drinking coffee, getting in a good nap, and seeing a good movie. Lovingly remembered by his sons, Mauricio wife Maritza, Eduardo wife Yuvanka, and Octavio. Grandchildren Cindy, Mauricio, Paolo, and Ciena. As well as several nieces and nephews. Survived by sisters Emelia, Fatima, and Maria Dolores, and brothers Jose Antonio, Jesus, Arturo, Miguel, and Ramiro. Predeceased by his father Jesus, mother Micaela, and brothers Eugenio, Ramon, and Juan.

Visitation for Eduardo will be on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Ridge Funeral Home, (Edward A Tylka, Manager), 6620 West Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638.
