Donna Jean Rogers

Donna Jean Rogers, nee Wise, age 88, of Tinley Park, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2020. Loving, devoted wife of the late Earl E. Rogers, Jr. for more than 50 wonderful years. Cherished mother of Earl Rogers, III (Paola), Lee Anne Lawler-Goodman (David), Lorrie Becker (Dean) and Richard Rogers (Laura); Proud Grandmother of Sarah, Mary, David, Kimberly, Michael, Brian, Karl, Andrew, Richard, Jr. and Nicole; a proud great-grandmother to many. Dear sister to Helen Agenlian (Steve). Loving aunt to nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Laura Wise.

Donna was formerly a respected real estate agent for Ruthenberg Realtors previously located in Tinley Park. She also was an accomplished music teacher, with the organ being her area of expertise. She loved teaching music. Many of her students excelled, winning awards at the annual Illinois Music Association competitions held at McCormick Place in Chicago. Donna also created the copyrighted innovation in music known as "Transposit".

In lieu of flowers donations to the VFW - Veterans of Foreign Wars would be appreciated.

Due to COVID-19, a small funeral was held, limited by the mandated number of guests as in accordance with the guidelines set by the CDC, state of Illinois and localities. We are hopeful for a Celebration of Life memorial service at a prudent time in the future.

Donna will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends.
