I have yet to meet Charles "Chuck" Wood. I have been doing genealogy and only recently discovered we have family connections. I work at the 25th District and am proud to see all the messages about such a great man. He was much loved and very loyal to family and friends. There is much pride in our family history and Chuck seems to be one of the torch bearers amongst many. Condolences to all the family, friends and especially his family in blue.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Charlie. Charlie was my partner in 020 for years and we shared many a good time together. Charlie was a great guy and totally stand up.He will be missed by all that knew him.I have many fond memories of Charlie and the times we worked together. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Sorry to hear of his passing. He was a gentleman and was well liked by everyone who knew and worked along side him.

I met Charlie when I came on the job and went to 020.  What a great guy.  Always a smile on his face and a way of making everyone feel special. My sympathies to Charlie's family on their loss.

My deepest sympathy. I had the pleasure to work with Chuck in 1972 when I came to 020 as a brand new recruit. He was a great guy and a great mentor to a new officer. We discussed police tactics over a cold Old Style at Reggies on many occasions. He will be missed.

I've missed Chuck's brother Tom every day since he passed away. It warms my heart to know the two of them are now in heaven together giving the Good Lord that special attention only the Wood's can do.... and I know God is not just smiling, but laughing out loud with them both.
