Caterina DiBenedetto, age 93, was born in San Pietro Avellana, Province of Isernia, Italy, on December 15, 1930, and born into eternity on April 24, 2024. Caterina was the loving wife of the late Dominic DiBenedetto; loving mother of Mario (Celeste) DiBenedetto and the late Sal (the late Reba) DiBenedetto; devoted Zia of Lorella (Rick) Osswald; adoring grandmother of Lisa Rice, Angela (Brian) Layden, Michelle (Dragos Visan) Di Benedetto, Mark (Nikki) DiBenedetto, and the late Christina DiBenedetto (Larry Rosenberg); delighted great-grandmother of Andrew and Claire Layden, Quinn and Liam Rosenberg, Mila and Stella DiBenedetto, and Luca Visan; dear daughter of the late Agostino & Angelina Cerasuolo; cherished sister of Steve (Elsie) Cerasuolo, Gino (Lucy) Cerasuolo, Italia (Dino) DiCristofano, the late Antonio (Orienta) Cerasuolo, and her twin, the late Gelsomina (Orlando) DeLuca; aunt of many cherished nieces and nephews; caring cousin; and fond friend of many.

Friends and family will gather for Caterina's visitation that is being held on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 West Belmont Avenue, Chicago, IL 60634.
Her final viewing visitation will occur on Friday, May 3rd, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 6901 West Belmont Avenue, Chicago, IL 60634, followed by her Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 AM.
The committal chapel prayer service will occur on Friday, May 3rd, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at St Joseph Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums, Belmont and Cumberland (1st Avenue), River Grove, IL 60171.
