In loving memory of Antoinette Scholl, born Antoinette DiCuia in New York City on June 13, 1927. She died on October 29, 2019. She grew up in Manhattan and Queens, and received her BA from Hunter College and graduate degrees from Columbia University and National College of Education. She married Mason Scholl on July 5, 1958. She worked as an art teacher and fabric designer first, and later spent about 20 years as a preschool teacher.
She is survived by her husband Mason Scholl and her three children and their spouses: Paula Scholl and Byron Roche, Eric Scholl and Cynthia Moran, and Margo Scholl and Robert Ballmer; and six grandchildren: Alex Ballmer, Ben Ballmer, Nat Scholl, Rosalyn Scholl, Allison Roche, and Caroline Roche. Her hobbies and interests included spending time with her grandchildren first and foremost, plus gardening, arts & crafts, reading, and crossword puzzles. She was beloved by her family and will be very much missed.
Her life will be celebrated on January 11, 2020, at 10:30, and Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago.
