Dad,
You have been with God for over a week now. We miss you terribly. I know time heals and the pain will cease. However, you will always be in our hearts and thoughts. You were the foundation of our family. You gave us security and strength. Now, we must go on without you. I am glad for the times we shared together. When you lost the ability to do repairs on the building and you looked to me for assistance. I can now replace a thermal cuplet on the furnace by myself. We are so fortunate that we had a father as caring and loving as you. There will be an internal flame burning in our hearts for you forever.

Angelo will be missed dearly.  He was like a father to me.  I have learned so much from him.  The beautiful memories will live on forever.

DAD, I want to take this time to thank you for being a wonderfully loving father.  Thank you for always being there when I needed you.  As a child, for cleaning up after me when I was sick, for playing chauffeur when I needed to go somewhere, for rubbing my legs down when I was in pain.  As an adult, for being a fun companion on the vacations we took together both before and after Stephanie was born.

Thanks for being a caring and loving grandfather to my Stephanie--looking after her while I went to work--helping her build her first snowman, taking her on treasure hunts in your basement, playing Santa for her.

Even during your illness your thoughts were not for yourself but for us, your family.  How would we manage the finances, who would look after mom.  I know you felt like a burden to us during this time as you were no longer as strong and independent as you had always been.  However, I want you to know that you were not a burden and that you were truly strong up to the end and always, always caring to those of us around you.

Dad, I will really really miss you and when I think of you I will be sad but I will also be happy as I see your warm and loving smile.  I love you very much and you will always be in my heart.
