Born May 27, 1961 in Cleveland, he has been a longtime resident of Burton. Mickey retired from the West Geauga Local Schools after many years of service. He made a hobby out of scrapping precious metals whether for friends, businesses or random finds. Mickey loved taking the scrap apart for them. He also helped many people get sober and he helped all his friends in their sobriety. He was always there to lend a helping hand to his friends. Mickey loved cars, whether window shopping for his next car or improving the ride he had. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his granddaughter Luna. It was always clear that Mickey did not like hugs, although he always made an exception for a hug from Luna! He is survived by his wife Karen; daughter Sarah; son Daniel; and granddaughter Luna. Mickey is preceded in death by parents William “Bud” and Betty; brother Jim; and sister Sharon. Family and friends may call at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 11900 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland on Saturday, November 16, 2024, 10:00 – 11:00 am, where a Memorial Service will immediately follow at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow the Memorial Service at the church.
