Cork was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He was also a proud member of the Marine Corps League. He was a Free and Accepted Mason, with the Willoughby Lodge No. 302. Cork was a Kirtland High School Football fan, and loved going out to eat. His greatest joy though was spending time with all seven of his grandchildren. Cork was a very generous man and a friend to all. He loved Chinese food, Slyman's, and McDonald's senior coffee. Cork was the goofiest man you could ever have met, but always had a heart of gold. He lived life to the fullest. In seven short weeks, an aggressive form of cancer stole him away from all of us.
Cork was an Operating Engineer, and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, a trade union representing primarily construction workers who work as heavy equipment operators.
He is survived by his son, Adam (Marie) Shannon; daughters, Lisa (Gaetano) Savelli and Heidie (Damian) Stolowski; grandchildren, Mia, Gaetano, Eva, Lila, and Gabriel Savelli, and Cora and Clara Stolowski; brothers, Bob (Geri) and Melvin (Dolly); and nephews, Tommy and Wayne (Wendi) McCloud, and Zip and Zac Howser.
He is predeceased by his parents, Melvin and Betty McCloud; and brother, Thomas.
