Bob Fortenbaugh

Bob Fortenbaugh, age 55, passed away August 8, 2024. Bob was born on March 18, 1969, he was a lifelong resident of Russell Twp. Bob worked in Golf Course Maintenance for over 30 years at many golf courses in Northeast Ohio. He was a 1987 graduate of West Geauga High School where he was a star lineman on the Wolverine football team. Bob loved all things Cleveland sports, although his favorite team was the Cleveland Browns. He loved nature and being outdoors. Bob was an enthusiastic biker, first with mountain biking and more recently road biking. His greatest passion was spending time with his dog “Piper”.

Bob is survived by his mother Sandy; sister Patti (Scott) Aurand; nephews Andrew (Meghan) Aurand and Christian (Erin) Aurand; niece Victoria Aurand (Ian- fiancée); Aunt Nancy (Al) Gaudino; Uncle Alexander (Rene) Gasper; and many dear lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his father Ronald, and grandparents Al and Ann Gasper. Family and friends may call at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 2 – 4 pm, where a Memorial Service will be held immediately following at 4:00 pm.
