Ann E. Mraz

Ann E. Mraz (nee Lewis), 96, of Newbury Twp, passed away June 21, 2014 at MetroHealth Hospital in Cleveland. She was born Feb. 25, 1918 in Canton, and resided in Newbury Twp for 22 years. Ann was a Homemaker. In 1949, Ann became a founding member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Newbury Twp. She was a member of the St. Helen's Ladies Guild and the Legion of Mary Ann was also a member of the " Red Hat Gals'' She is survived by her son, Steve (Elaine) Mraz; granddaughters: Maryann Mraz, Ph.D, Michelle (Matt) Barry, and Julie Gish; great-grandchildren: Zach, Madisyn and Mackenzie Barry.

She was preceded in death by her husband Steve Mraz, Sr. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2014 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Rd, Newbury, OH 44065. Rev. David Woost will officiate at the services. Friends may call Thursday, 3 to 8 p.m. at Gatozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Rd, Chester Twp. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ann's name may be made to St. Helen Church (address above)
