William “Bill” Freeman, age 60 passed away on Monday March 1, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born in Rutland, VT on October 8, 1956 son of Doris (Trombley) Freeman and Vernon Freeman.
He had worked for several years at the Dakin Woolen Mill and the Jewell Brook Mill in Ludlow, also Acrylic Design in Springfield before moving north where he worked for a short time at Vermont Castings. William just loved being outdoors, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching the wildlife. He also loved listening to country music.
William is survived by his sisters Kathy Melendy of South Royalton, Terrie Jackson of Springfield, VT. Martha Parker of Cavendish, VT, Kitty Lique of Perkinsville, VT, Karen Freeman of Ludlow, VT; his brothers, Lloyd Freeman of Tunbridge, VT, Kevin Freeman of Braintree, VT; His daughter, Holly Cole of Springfield, VT; two sons, Joshua Runnells of Claremont, NH and Elijah Runnells of Charlestown, NH. He is also survived by several grandchildren and a close friend, Fred Collins of Bethel, VT.
He is predeceased by his grandparents; Gladys and Guy Trombley, Mabel and Charles Freeman; both of his parents, Doris Freeman and Vernon Freeman; A Step-Father, Charles Bamforth and his brother Gary Freeman.
Graveside services will be held in the springtime at a date to be announced.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Terrie Jackson, 275 Summer St. Springfield, VT 05156 to assist his family with funeral expenses.
