Mr. Cooke was born and raised in Chattanooga and retired from the US Air Force as a Civil Engineer. He retired with honors as a Technical Sergeant with 30 years of service. He was a champion skeet shooter and avid gardener. He and his late wife, Bonny Cooke were members of Greenwood Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonny Burns Cooke; parents, James and Hattie Cooke; and brother, D. B. Cooke.
Surviving are his son, Andrew Cooke; daughter, Shani (Jeremy) Ricketts; and step-sons, Michael (Sandy) Burns and Scott Burns; grandchildren, Georgia, Jade, Georgie, Jamie and Megan Burns; and several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 11 AM Friday, June 10, 2022 at the funeral home with Chaplain Ricky Vaughn officiating.
Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
